All Things Fulffilled In The1st Century
by maccauk11 inall things were fulfilled in the 1st century.it was obvious the messiah was talking to the people in that generation not a generation 2000 years later.. christianity has for 2000 years placed itself in the shoes of those 1st century beleivers and think all things pertainott hem today.when infact none of it does.
the prohecise of the messiah cmae true in the 1st century including revelation which is symbolic, metaphorical apocolyptic language showing all tha thad been done .
the kingdom is here.the king rules and has done for 2000 years.

Ask him if he believes in "New Scrolls".
In 1985 a new phrase was added to our vocabulary, "New Scrolls", complete with an explanation as to how they will benefit those who inhabit the New World.
The following five references are the only quotations of this new 'teaching', but incredibly, these two words have been indelibly stamped on most people's minds by repetition from platform speakers, and in general conversation.
w85 6/15 p. 18 par. 21 "During this thousand-year judgment period, Jehovah evidently will give additional instructions, unknown to us at present, as new "scrolls" are opened. (Rev. 20:12) How marvelous it will be for the survivors of the "great tribulation" and for the resurrected dead to gain instruction and guidance from these further instructions as set forth on these unrolled "scrolls" of Jehovah and to carry them out delightfully!"
w10 4/15 p. 11 par. 17 "How will Jehovah use his holy spirit in the coming new world? That spirit will be the force behind the new scrolls that will be opened at that time. (Rev. 20:12) What will these contain? Evidently, Jehovah’s detailed requirements for us during the thousand years."
kl chap. 19 p. 185 par. 13 "There will be an extensive educational program under the direction of the King Jesus Christ and his 144,000 co rulers. New "scrolls" will then come into use. Evidently these are God’s written instructions that will serve as a basis for educating earth’s inhabitants." (Revelation 20:12)
re chap. 41 pp. 299-300 par. 15 "But during the resurrection, countless millions of studies, based on the Bible and the new scrolls, will no doubt be conducted! All of God’s people will need to become teachers and to exert themselves. Resurrected ones, as they progress, will no doubt share in this vast teaching program."
es12 p. 67 June "How will Jehovah use his holy spirit in the coming new world? That spirit will be the force behind the new scrolls that will be opened at that time. (Rev. 20:12) What will these contain? Evidently, Jehovah’s detailed requirements for us during the thousand years. Do you look forward to examining the contents of those scrolls?"
What is the truth about these "New Scrolls"?
Jesus said, "Your Word is truth". So we can rely on God's Word to tell us the truth about them. This is what Revelation 20:12 really says; "and scrolls were opened......."And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds."
No "new" scrolls are mentioned, therefore this is an interpolation (the insertion of new or spurious matter) and something which the angel who gave the Revelation to the apostle John, warned against - "If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll. (Rev. 22:18)
Blaspheming God's Word even further, another lie is told - that these scrolls will be opened during the 1000 year reign of Christ. Read Revelation 20:1-10. It clearly shows they are opened after Satan is destroyed - after the 1000 year reign!
A comparison of the Scripture and the 'given explanation' reveals a reasoning which bears absolutely no resemblance to anything in Revelation 20.
Without any explanation for doing so, the word "new" has been dropped from the very latest comment on that verse, as well as repeating the myth that dead people won't be judged for their sins*; "The resurrected ones will be judged, not on the basis of what they did before they died, but on what they do when the contents of the "scrolls" mentioned in Revelation 20 are revealed." (WT 1/09/12, p. 16) "Test the inspired expression"
. (1 John 4:1)* Several Scriptures reveal that Jesus is going to judge the living and the dead; Acts 10:42, Acts 17:31, Romans 14:9, 2 Cor. 5:10, 2 Tim. 4:1, 1 Pet. 4:5, Rev. 11:18, & Rev. 20:12. If the dead can't be judged on their past deeds, (according to demonic reasoning) then all of these verses must be lies!!!

My Meetings With Two Elders Today, "I am not a Christian and I am going to Die!"
by ÁrbolesdeArabia inhi, my time is drawing ever closer as i can no longer speak lies about the organization and all the past revisions and my sins i committed against everyone i judged while serving on judicial committees.
i lay awake at night with guilt because i ask jehovah and his son jesus christ to forgive me for being so judgemental, self assured and arrogant at certain times in my life.
i was not a prince of peace, at times i was a coward when i was first appointed because i wanted to keep all things peaceful with my peers, not with my heavenly father and saviour jesus christ.

Six Scriptures reveal that Jesus is going to judge the living and the dead;
Acts 10:42, Acts 17:31, Romans 14:9, 2 Corinthians 5:10, 2 Timothy 4:1 and 1st Peter 4:5.
Ask your elders, which human being on earth has the right to judge someone as fit for everlasting death, thereby usurping Christ as Judge?
Each will render an account before God, not before men!
Nothing that men can do to us will separate us from God's love through Christ - only we can do that! (Romans 8:35-39)

My understanding of the Great Tribulation is based on the following reasoning:
Jesus initiates the Great Tribulation: Revelation 2:21-22 - "And I gave her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her fornication. Look! I am about to throw her into a sickbed, and those committing adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of her deeds."

Rebuttals:"Wait on Jehovah"
by Emery inok i think most of you at some point have come across the apologetic saying "wait on jehovah" from jws whenever an injustice occurs in the organization.
many have also used this expression to abandon evidence against the "truth".
this has easily become one of my biggest pet peeves now since speaking to others about ttatt.

I have always believed what Christ said was the ONLY basis for divorce. Has the Org initiated other "justifiable" reasons for divorce?
Thanks for any replies.

WT 15 July 2013 - "Look at the Artwork!"
by The Song Remains The Same inwas just browsing this new issue and trying to make head and tail of what they are talking about, and noticed the final article tucked away on-line;.
http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20130715/watchtower-artwork/.
not sure if anyone commented, but it takes me back to the discussions on god's earthly org chart here.. this is what they have to say.... "how many times have you said that to yourself or to others when you opened a new issue of this magazine?

We had an elder describe the artwork from a recent Watchtower as if it was a detailed photograph of what actually took place! I cringe when so-called shepherds go beyond the things that are written, and present publication fantasies, speculations, and Writing Committee opinions, as God-given truths!
Are they trying to convince themselves or us?

Under the New Light, Where is the Continuity?
by Ding inunder the old light, from 33 ce onward, there was always an anointed remnant on earth, and these constituted the faithful and discreet slave class whom jesus had appointed over his domestics to give them spiritual meat in due season.. but the new light is that the "anointed" were not the faithful and discreet slave after all.. in fact, according to the new light, jesus did not appoint anyone as faithful and discreet slave over his domestics until 1919 (not even the apostles or russell).. so according to the new light, who or what was jehovah's visible organization from the death of the apostles until 1919?.
who was authorized to provide spiritual food in due season?.
where is the continuity?.

Nice little Scripture to reason on: Isaiah 41:8 "But you, O Israel, are my servant. . .
So who was God's 'servant'? (singular) Collectively, everyone in the nation of Israel.
Who would replace that 'servant' later on as God's collective 'servant'? "The Israel of God". (Galatians 6:16: Matthew 21:43) Who are the Israel of God? All those who were reconciled by faith in Christ.
So everyone is a steward or slave and each one has the option of being faithful & discreet, or evil. There are no 'classes' - it's ONE flock!

Thanks Bobcat - that explains why (a couple of years ago) when I was out in the ministry with our C.O. he looked at me in total silence and then walked away when I said that I was concerned over the "understanding" of Romans 6:7 being literal!!
I decided then that he probably thought it was a corrupt and odious teaching, and couldn't reveal that to an ordinary publisher who would rat on him!

The July 15 Watchtower and all its new light is only...
by sosoconfused inmaking people cling to the organization more.
when i found out it was up i told so many people frantically that there is a new study article up and that it had so many changes.
my mother started crying saying how happy she is to be a part of an organization that is truly directed by jehovah... only the true faithful and discreeet slave could have such insight.... another person began to say how great it is to see the celestial chariot on the move.. .

I perceive (IMHO) a very definite, but sinister purpose in presenting so many "new lights" at the one time, in the same publication. All of the articles are being used to reinforce and consolidate the position of the GB in the eyes of the 'flock', as God's authority on earth.
Two scenarios are surreptitiously being offered - either accept the new "understandings" or leave! Some will leave (sooner or later) because of these blatantly unscriptural teachings, but the ones who remain will fall into two categories; those who adore the GB and believe everything without "testing the inspired expressions", and those who reject such fallacies but "sigh and groan over the detestable things being done."
For any of my brothers & sisters reading this, just keep this simple truth fixed firmly in your mind - for all the years that you have been in the "truth", if you had scripturally challenged any or all of the doctrines which have now been reversed, you would have been disfellowshipped and refused social contact with your Witness family members for the rest of your 'apostate' life. The exact same situation applies with the "new lights".
Don't you think that God's spirit-direction is being falsely claimed by "men speaking twisted things"? Read Acts 20:30 & Revelation chapters 2 & 3.
